Grabe mich gerade durch altes Vinyl (!) und alte CDs und bin mal wieder auf meine gute alte Led Zeppelin-Sammlung gestoßen. Eigentlich schade, dass man alte Scheiben so selten anhört...
Hab mir III und Physical Graffiti "reingezogen" und musste wieder mal feststellen, dass diese Band einfach sensationell vielseitig und unglaublich geil war. Das Spektrum von "Whole Lotta Love" bis "Kashmir", von "Immigrant Song" bis "Down By the Seaside", von "Bron-Y-Aur" bis "Moby Dick", von "Stairway to Heaven" bis "Black Dog" ist riesig und umfasst alles, was gute Rockmusik ausmacht. Sehr viel, was heute als Rock und Retro-Rock rauskommt, fusst auf dem, was die Herren Page, Plant & Co. vor > 20 Jahren aufgenommen haben, und IMHO sind alle Strokes, Libertines, Raconteurs, White Stripes, Wolfmother usw. schwache Epigonen...

david bowie hat in den 70ern eine zeit lang in berlin gelebt und dort auch alben aufgenommen:

dabei entstand auch die deutsche fassung von "heroes" welche dann anfang der achtziger jahre zum titelsong von "wir kinder vom bahnhof zoo" wurde.

die englische version von "heroes" war in österreich in den 80ern fast nicht erhältlich. ich hab sie damals nur in italien bekommen.
