So, ab jetzt bitte nicht falsch verstehn, und psychisch labile Menschen sollten ab hier nicht weiter lesen, aber für mich ist dieses Lied der perfekte Soundtrack zum Selbstmord nach einer verkackten Liebesbeziehung (oder was auch immer...) , wenn man das so sagen kann, genau den Song auflegen, Kerzen, Rotwein, Rasierklingen, was braucht das gebrochene Herz mehr... :ironie:

Ich hoffe, mit dieser Aussage niemanden zu nahe zu treten, bzw. niemanden zu verletzen, wenn es zu weit gehen sollte, bitte ich einen der mods, ebendieses zu löschen...

Einer dieser Songs, der einen Teil meines Lebens mehr oder weniger perfekt beschreibt... :cool:

Patti Smith - Smells Like Teen Spirit

Die "grande dame" des US-Rocks hat auf ihrem neuen Album "Twelve" 12 Klassiker gecovert...von den Stones ( "Gimme Shelter" ) über Dylan ( "Changing of the Guards" ), Jimi ( "Are You Experienced?" ), Neil Young ( "Helpless" ), die Beatles ( "Within You Without You" ), The Doors ( Soul Kitchen" ) bis sogar Stevie Wonder ( "Pastime Paradise" ) und Tears for Fears ( "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" ).

Alle Interpretationen sind stark und interessant, mache sehr nah am Original ( z.B. Jefferson Airplane's "White Rabbit" ), andere stark entfremdet. Am abgefahrensten und daher stellvertretend als Today's Song gewählt ist für mich das Nirvana-Cover "Smells Like Teen Spirit", das die Grunge-Hymne in einen düsteren akustischen Folksong mit Banjo und Fiddle verwandelt.

eines der wenigen langen Lieder die gar nicht lange genug sein können...und das Video auch schaurig schön. :daumen: (keiner verdreht so schön die Augen wie der Type O Negative Sänger)

die Jungs sind mir gleich noch sympathischer, da eng mit meiner All Time Favourite Band Life of Agony verbandelt ;)​


Und wenn wer schon von Selbstmord-"Soundtracks" reden - der sollte mal das Debütalbum von eben Life of Agony - "River runs red" anhören.
Das ganze Album handelt eigentlich davon (erst recht die Einspielungen zw. den Tracks!) - wobei man das klarerweise keinesfalls als Aufforderung ansehen sollte. Eher eine liedtechnische Verarbeitung der Thematik von Sänger Keith Caputo.​
